2020 was a difficult year for all of us across the globe. We at Experience Volcano Hawaii can truly say that this festival would not have happened without our sponsors and supporters. These businesses are more than they're logos, they have people behind them who are apart of our community and have stepped up to make this festival a reality in a year of unknown possibilities .We wish to extend a sincere and meaningful "mahalo" to our sponsors who stepped up and choose to be involved with this years festival.

Editorial Note:

We wish to extend an apology to one of our featured sponsors of this years festival. In the creation of our printed flier we created some text was added to a logo that was not able to be removed as the flier had already gone to print. All of our digital editions and current promotions reflect the logo as it should be. We are thankful to all of our sponsors and supporters as they are the lifeblood of this years festival. This was our error and we hope that our 2nd edition of the updated flier reflects our commitment to ensure that mistakes if they happen can be corrected. Mahalo for your understanding in this error. We hope everyone enjoys this event.

UPDATE: August 11th, 2021

We at Experience Volcano Hawaii (EVH) have just received some good news from the Big Island Mayor’s Office regarding the upcoming Experience Volcano Festival, and the Ohia Lehua Half Marathon. We have officially been granted an exemption for this single day event on August 14th from 10am - 4pm. This approval is the result of a lot of hard work and communication between our community organization and the County of Hawaii. All locations are taking additional measures to ensure that everyone can have a safe and enjoyable event experience during this festival.

All visitors, vendors and staff must follow CDC guidelines and the specifications that the State of Hawaii has outlined as of August 10th, 2021. (subject to updates)

  1. No more than 10 people indoors and 25 people outdoors.

  2. Bars, restaurants, gyms, and other social establishments also must reduce their capacity by 50%. Patrons must remain seated, with 6 feet of distance maintained between parties, and cannot mingle.

  3. Masks are required at all times, except when eating or drinking.

The 2nd Annual Experience Volcano Festival is a professionally sponsored event that has submitted safety plans to the Big Island Mayor’s Office and has been granted approval.

All attendees are asked to comply with EVH festival officials who are tasked to ensure that everyone has an enjoyable but safe festival experience. These individuals will be wearing a neon green EVH tee-shirt and will have festival ADMIN badges. Other local officials may include police officers and credentialed County of Hawaii representatives.

Your safety is our goal!

Mahalo for your interest and we look forward to seeing you this weekend!
