Kilauea Iki  allows you to peer through the lush rainforest from above to the solidified, however still steaming crater floor. This crater was last active in 1959. During its five week eruption lava fountained up to

1900 feet in the air.

 

Today you can take a relaxing hike around the rim of this crater and to hike down into it. Surround yourself with the songs of native birds and stunning volcanic vistas of Kilauea Iki.
