Rainforest Description

Be sure to visit Volcano Art Center's (VAC) Niaulani Rainforest before  journeying into Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. This award-winning, easily-accessible natural and cultural resource is an impressive example of an old growth rainforest.

Every Monday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m, join VAC's guided rainforest tour and experience the rare native Hawaiian rainforest. Visitors learn about Niaulani’s ecological importance as one of the last old-growth ’ohi’a rainforests.

Throughout the week a self-guided tour is available for all visitors 9am-5pm.
