Thurston Lava Tube

Journey Though A Volcanic Lava Tube
Description:

Thurston Lava Tube is one of the most visited lava tubes in the world. The entrance to this beautiful lava tube is along a path that wanders through a stunningly lush native Hawaiian rainforest. Discovered in 1913 by Lorrin Thurston, a local newspaper publisher, the roof of the lava tube was covered with lava stalactites, but those soon disappeared to souvenir collectors.

This cave is well lit by the national park and is a relaxing hike that you will not soon forget.
