VOLCANO'S BIGGEST AND BEST ART SALE OF THE YEAR!

Every year on Thanksgiving weekend!

The Volcano Village Artists Hui is a group of working artists in Volcano, Hawaiʻi, who are known for their specialized skills in a wide range of art media, including: hand-blown and stained glass, pottery, metal, hand-made jewelry, paintings, drawings, woodblock prints, handmade books, fiber, textiles, clothing, quilts, and more.

 

Every November on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday following Thanksgiving Day, Hui members open their studio and/or showroom doors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. for the annual Volcano Village Artists Studio Tour and Sale.  Visitors, art collectors and holiday shoppers are invited to meet and talk with the artists, view their latest works, and purchase unique, hand-crafted items at reasonable prices.

In 2019, the Studio Sale dates will be November 29th, 30th & December 1st.

 

Over the 33 years of the Volcano Artists Hui's existence, each artist's work has evolved as they incorporate new materials and methods in creative ways to capture and express the energy and elements of the Kilauea summit area of Hawaiʻi Island - the birds, animals, plants and changing volcanic land forms found here and no place else on Earth.  There is always an awareness of living over time on the Big Island that suffuses their individual lines of work, regardless of artist or medium.  Within the group, there is a commitment to individual artistic achievement as well as to enriching the Volcano community and Hawai'i Island with their creative efforts.

 

Volcano Village is known as an "artist colony" and one of the best places in the state of Hawai'i for finding highly original fine art and crafts.  People from all over Hawaiʻi Island, neighbor islands and the mainland are drawn to Volcano all year, and especially on Thanksgiving weekend for this special event. Maps to the studios and exhibit locations are available at businesses and galleries in Volcano Village or may be downloaded from this web site.
