Eruption Details
Halemaumau Crater at the summit of Kilauea is
filled with lava once more.
Mauna Loa erupted for the first time in 40 years in November 2022 and is quiet at this time.
Lava viewing areas are open within Hawaii Volcanoes National Park.
As of December 31st the National Park Service (NPS) has re-opened Mauna Loa Summit Road. Mauna Loa's summit areas remain closed.
